Kapilvastu Municipality, Kapilvastu: Right to Access Nepal (RAN) has successfully completed the third phase of the educational materials distribution program under the project “Improving School Children’s Literacy by Decreasing School Dropout Rate.” The third-phase program benefited 413 students from five different schools in Kapilvastu Municipality, Kapilvastu District. The educational materials, including school uniforms, shoes, school bags, stationery, and other essential learning materials, were distributed to the students. In addition, parents received nutritious food support, including rice and cooking oil, to help support household well-being and children’s education. The distribution program was attended by Mayor Sudip Paudel, social activist Rajesh Gyanwali, representatives of the concerned schools and School Management Committees, and the RAN team. The program was organized by the respective schools and managed by Right to Access Nepal (RAN). The initiative is funded by the Buddhist Tzu Chi Charity Foundation, Kathmandu, and aims to improve children’s access to education, strengthen literacy, and contribute to reducing school dropout rates among children in the target communities.
